News and Events 2016

Among our sponsored students, 150 at Dingxi No. 1 and Longxi No. 1 Secondary Schools graduated in 2016. They have all received our grants for three years. For those gaining entrance to university, they will receive another year of sponsorship. Furthermore, those with special hardships will receive the newly set up university grants.
We held a graduation dinner for all students no matter whether or not they had made it to the university. There was a good cause for celebration because they had completed a very important stage of life. One purpose of the gathering was to provide an out-of-school experience for the students. At the dinner, we played two videos showing Hong Kong’s beautiful scenery and the activities which we shared with them in the past three years. Up to 2015-16, YEF had given out more than 1,500 senior secondary students sponsorships to students whose parents were farmers. Although this batch of students have graduated, we will continue to give grants to incoming first year students. As in previous years, a donation of $4,500 can help a student for three years and you will receive a letter and a best wish card from the student every year.
