Zhongnan Village is a severe poverty village designated to be assisted by Dingxi No. 1 Secondary School under the ‘targeted poverty alleviation’ policy. On March 31, 2018, we visited the village with the school officials. We invited Professors Zhang Guohong and Dong Jun, experts on plantations and breeding from Gansu Academy of Agricultural Sciences, to answer their questions. We gave the villagers some soybean seeds at the end of the session to grow on a trial basis.
