YEF will offer financial assistance to senior secondary students at yet another school in the next academic year (2014-15). We visited Lintao No. 2 Secondary School in Lintao County. There are 4,668 students, of whom 1,208 are needy, mostly coming from villages. We will help 100 students who enter this school in next September by meeting their tuition and miscellaneous fees. We have chosen to help senior secondary students because on the Mainland students are given free education up to junior secondary s only. To needy families in mountainous regions, the cost of three years’ senior secondary education is a huge burden. You have only to donate HK$4,500 to help a senior secondary student for three years.
