YEF visited Gansu again in early July 2015, primarily to study projects requiring assistance and to distribute this year’s university scholarships. We also attended a ceremony to mark the completion of a project to supply water to households and visit some farmers.

1. Graduation of Senior Secondary Students

In 2015, YEF gave financial assistance to 37 Senior Secondary 3 students. Among them, 31 successfully acquired qualifications to enter university. We met with the 37 students at Dingxi No. 1 Secondary School on July 4 and awarded scholarships to those who have succeeded in the examination; we even played games with them. While some of the students have not made it to university, they have reached an important milestone, and this is encouraging. They also come across as positive and active youths. Every student wrote his thoughts and best wishes on a colourful greeting card to be sent to the sponsor. Each card was filled with gratitude and hopes for a bright future.
