2019-4-6 Baizhai Science and Technology Courtyard
In addition to undertaking scientific research, China Agricultural University’s experiment station in Quzhou County has set up “Scientific Research Courtyards” throughout China. Each courtyard is manned by several postgraduates to provide technical guidance to farmers and to help solve agricultural problems. Having learned about theories yesterday we visited the fields today.
The Baizhai Science and Technology Courtyard is the first help point set up by the university in 2009. It originally dealt with wheat and corn. As the technology in this area has become very advanced in the past 10 years, farmers began to develop animal husbandry last year. The students have moved in the same direction with the farmers by switching to conduct research on the rearing of pigs and chickens.
