Aid for catastrophe

5月10 日，甘肅省定西市岷縣遭到冰雹成災的不幸事件。岷縣茶埠鎮是5月10日冰雹山洪泥石流受災最嚴重的鄉鎮。其中溝門村有174戶房屋倒塌，62戶房屋嚴重受損，7人因災死亡，大量農作物被毀，村民經濟損失重大。經考察後，本會捐款援建通往村裡1.4 公里的道。9月5日，由在場的部分捐款⋯⋯人士見證，本會主席與當地官員簽署捐款協議，並把村路命名為「香港路」。
Min Xian in Dingxi City of Gansu Province was hit by a hailstorm on May 10. Chafu Town suffered the gravest damage caused by hailstones, flash floods and mudslides. In particular, 174 houses collapsed, 62 severely damaged, seven people died and a large quantity of crops ruined in Goumen Village. Economic losses to the villagers were huge. Following a visit to the village, YEF decided to help rebuild 1.4 km of road leading to the village. YEF Chairman and local officials signed a donation agreement on September 5 in the presence of some of the donors. It was also decided to name the road “Hong Kong Road.
