In April 2018, we made a donation to help Yangjiazhuang Village in Luotang Town of Longnan to develop a demonstration base for planting herbs. In the rugged mountains, the villagers grew the herb Baiji . While the seedlings were growing healthily, a flood of a magnitude seen only once every 50 years swept the fields in June, causing severe damage. Fortunately, there was no loss of life. The farmers did their best to save what remained after the flood and managed to keep half of the plants. Although they might not grow well after being soaked in the water, the farmers still took good care of them in the hope that some might yield harvest.
