Visit to Jing Yuan Country

2012年3月29 – 30 日，黃土地基金到甘肅省靖遠縣考察，希望為該縣農民提供協助，設立農業科技展示點。考察的地方包括大蘆鄉小蘆村、庄口村，永新鄉，還參觀了大壩高科技農業園區。
經過連綿110多公里的黃沙地區，我們從蘭州到了靖遠，並獲得靖遠縣鄭鈺書記等領導接風。和定西一樣，靖⋯⋯遠縣是高海拔，降雨量低的地區，可是它有黃河流經，所以黃河水能達的地方，農作物的質量是挺好的。近年，基於「引黃工程」的開展，多處鄉村都享受到自來水，而且大大地高了土地的可用性。我們探訪了兩戶環境不錯的農戶，見他們由衷的享受着農民的生活。
水就是生命之泉，可是「引水入戶」，來得不容易。有些定西山區的人家，儘管政府已經把水引到村口，他們也欠資金把水管拉到自己院子裡。黃土地基金會考慮幫助這些貧困戶。希望大家捐款支持。
YEF visited Jing Yuan between 29 and 30 March 2012 with a view to identifying possible locations for the setting up of a display centre for agricultural technology so as to help improve the farmers income and in turn their qualities of life.
Similar to Dingxi where we worked in the past years, Jingyuan suffered from high altitudes and low rainfall. However, as the Yellow River runs through the County, some parts where irrigation is available do have quality agricultural produce. In the recent years, the government implemented the ‘Yin Huang’ project to bring water from the Yellow River to the villages, greatly increasing the arable areas and improved farmers’ livelihoods.
Water means life. However, some farmers were so poor that they could not afford to connect the pipes from the main trunk to their own house. YEF will consider helping these farmers in need. Please support us by making a donation.
